Sowing And Crop Managment

With the commitment to continue contributing to the transformation of the Colombian countryside, we want to help with our citrus experience to the development of new productive lime projects that continue generating social and environmental welfare for the rural communities of our country.

Analysis of the soil of the area to be sown:

Soil samples are taken to know what it offers us for our project and what we should provide.

Ground preparation:

The land is cleaned, the control of undergrowth and the identification of drains is done. Subsequently, the sowing density is determined and the plotting is carried out.

Clearing:

Leave free of undergrowth or undesirable vegetation in a radius of 1 meter.

Holes for planting:

In the previously marked place, make a hole of 30*30 cm. WARNING: It is necessary to perform both the clearing and the making of the holes in the same day to avoid water accumulation in the holes.

Tree selection:

According to the vivarium records, select the best trees for sowing.

Sowing:

Remove the tree from the bag, put it in the hole and throw the soil obtained in the digging of the hole. Tighten it very well. WARNING: Tie the holder to the tree with a rope so that the tree has a vertical growth.

Maintenance:

Weekly monitoring of the crop to determine the need for pruning, fertilization, clearing and fumigation.

Inventory and resowing:

Twice a year an inventory of trees is carried out to take corrective actions and resow if is necessary.
